I did not receive the product thats displayed here by Guruji
I did not receive the product thats displayed here. There is ugly white hinge where two part connect blocking the usb connection of the iPod. So I have to get iPod out all the time to recharge it. Not worth it. Do not buy this product.

Imperfect, but great for the money. by Curtis
The prices of ipod and cell phone cases infuriate me - they cost pennies to make and sell for $15-30! So I was happy to see this case was realistically priced and was just what I was looking for. Thre are many imperfections, but there is an aftermarket or DIY solution to each one:

I would have liked a snap-closed dock connector cover (it’s exposed) but I ordered some dummy plugs on ebay.

I also didn’t realize there was a belt clip, which I didn’t want or need so I snapped it off and filed down the 2 nubs so it will lay flat.

The gaps around the dock connector and phone jack are large enough for dust and dirt to get inside the case so I plan on strategically putting a little hot glue on the inside surface to seal off these areas.

I would have liked a thin sleeve to protect the click-wheel, but the classic ships with one on it already, so I carefully took it off by peeling the glued flaps back. I then cut the top and bottom flaps off (to expose the various ports) then cut the now tubular sleeve horizontally in half and tightly wrapped one half back on to cover the area of the click-wheel. I saved the other half as a spare for when the first one gets too dirty/worn.

It all sounds like a PITA, but I am happy to pay less and customize it to my needs, especially after seeing an almost identical case at Kmart for $29.99!
