I purchased a pair of these headphones when they first released. My initial impressions were excellent. Fantastic sound quality and seemingly good build. However, after about 5 months the left ear bud shot. I emailed v-moda and they suggested cleaning the meash covering, telling me that wax can sometimes build up in here and effect the intensity output. However, this was clearly not the problem so I called them. They issued me a return number but I had to pay for the shipping myself. They sent me a new pair and after a few months the same thing happened. I have suspected that maybe this is something that I am doing. It seems somewhat of a coincidence. However, having read reviews online I have heard of many other people who have had exactly the same problem. In sum, be wary of these headphones. They are made by a brand new company who seem to have fashion as their primary concern. ‘Moda’ means ‘fashionable’ in the Romance languages. These are not headphones for audiophiles, they are for fashion conscious ipod users.
Nice product but it falls appart and gets stuck in your ear canal. by S. White
I purchased a set of these and after about 3 months a piece of steel mesh fell of and got stuck in my ear canal. All V Moda had to say was tuff and send them back for a replacement. you think that we should put this product in our ears?? That was 4 months ago. Since then i have heard nothing from them not even a phone call. Jesus they should be calling me. They have totally ignored the fact that the product failed big time and now i am out of pocket by a $100 and they have not sent me a replacement. DONT BOTHER WITH V MODA simply because they sell to you and then wave goodbye. I would not put any stars if there was a choice on the rate bar.

I lost my V-Moda ear buds, and love the sound and the noise-cancellation on the subway. WARNING:
I bought these for my iPhone, but unfortunately these do not have the speaker attachment on the cord so you can use the earbuds as a hands-free phone.
